Insane rain

These past two days have been CRAZY!!! The weather is terrible. There has been a non stop storm and it's so cold. I'm freezing all the time and it's really annoying. I am also annoyed with the little warm clothes I have with me, I want my black jeans, my sweaters and my army jacket that I left in Sweden!!! So mum, send me some clothes please!
Today I'm staying home all day watching movies. I send in an essay for uni yesterday and then I went to a house party and then to a club so I deserve to stay home all day. Yesterday was also valborg so Bea and I made some Swedish food, drank cider and partied. Great night, besides the weather of course :)

Donate Money to Nepal

I put my bank card in the freezer, literally, so I won't be able to use it. But I may have frozen my card, donating money to those in need is always possible. Lets help those who were fortunate enough to not loose their lives during the earthquake in Katmandu but heartbreakingly not fortunate enough to have much left other than that. Give out a helping hand! Just a small amount of money can make a huge difference for a lot of people!
Open your mind, be kind!

July Plans

I am right now trying to decide what to do for my winter break (summer break in most parts of the world). My options right now are going to Sweden for a really short break or staying here in Australia. If I choose to stay in Australia, I want to go somewhere for a week, or just a couple of days even. I don't want to spend too much money so I then would want to go somewhere else in Queensland. I've been looking at Port Douglas, Byron Bay and The Gold Coast. It is going to be cold here then so I will need to bring jackets and long pants etc.
Then I always dream of spending a little more money and book a flight to somewhere like Fiji or New Zealand. Fiji has always been a dream of mine and I would love to go there and I've looked up tickets and with the student prize, they aren't that bad. Not as cheap as a bus to another part of Queensland would be, but not bad for going to a tropical place.
I honestly just feel like that now when I live across the world from where I used to, I should take advantage of it and see as much as possible, in and around Australia. I want to see as much as possible and just spend money on living life here and be proud of the fact that I am now "a local".

Fast 7

On Friday after we watched all six first movies, I went to the cinema with Bea, Daria, Lena and Nermine. In my opinion I felt like it was the best one but that is probably because I've waited so long to see it, it was on the big screen and it was personal to the entire staff and not just a movie so it was extremely emotional. In all the other movies I feel like getting into a car and drive like an insane person and survive explosions and gun shootings haha but after watching the 7th one I just felt like laying in my bed crying all night.

The movie was incredible and the tribute they did for Paul Walker at the end was extremely heartfelt. Vin Diesel's speech about family and brotherhood, Wiz Khalifa's song. Extremely beautiful and very tearful.

The song at the end of movie, the tribute to the actor Paul Walker and character Brain O'Connor:

Vin Diesel's speech at the end...
"I used to say I live my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers- because you did, too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or half way across the world. The most important thing in life, will always be the people in this room. Salute mi familia. You'll always be with me... And you'll always be my brother."

The Fast & The Furious

Last night my friends Daria, Lena and Nermine came over to our place to have a Fast and Furious marathon. We managed to watch the first four and in an hour or so they are coming back and we will watch the 5th and the 6th one because tonight we are going to cinema to watch the last one. Aah I am so excited. I love those movies. They are so good, my type of action. I've seen them all a couple of times before and every time I get surprised by how good they are. Except for Tokyo Drift, because that one doesn't have the original cast and it is just really random.
Vin Diesel though is extremely attractive. Haha I die a little whenever he's on the screen. Perfect!! So it The Rock and Tyrese Gibson, hehe. Michelle Rodriguez is also pretty fine. She is so cool and so badass, it's super attractive! And then my heart breaks a little every time I see Paul Walker :( He was really pretty and talented and I have a feeling that I am going to cryyyyyy my eyes out now in the last one. But I am excited to see it anyway :).

The weirdest night ever

Last night and this morning was very... weird. After dinner both Bea and I were very sleepy, so we put on a movie in bed and fell asleep around 9. I woke up two hours later thinking that I'd slept all night and that it was 11 in the morning. I couldn't get my head around why it was dark outside until I understood that it was still night. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't so I went out for a walk but it was waaaaay too cold outside so I came home pretty fast. I went back to bed once again but woke up at 1.30am. Then I took my blanket, pillow, bunny and computer and made myself comfortable on the couch in the living room. I put my computer on and watched a few episodes of Teen Wolf. Bea then woke up about an hour later and she took a seat on the other sofa. We talked for a bit and came up with the awesome idea to go do a night activity and watch the sunrise from somewhere. But since Coles was closed we decided to do it another time when we can bring a picnic with us. So we took our seats on the sofa's again and put on a Dr Seuss movie; The Lorax. I fell asleep pretty fast and woke up every now and then with the movie keep going on repeat so I saw the same scene's several times. At 5 o'clock I woke up completely from my roommate Matt making breakfast for himself. I fell asleep once again after he'd left for work just a short while after that and woke up at 7am. Not even a little bit tired anymore. Bea was passed out on the sofa but I got up, got dressed and left the apartment. The sun was shining brightly so I went for a walk along the beach and the esplanade. About an hour later, I headed home. Went to bed and watched an episode of Teen Wolf before falling asleep once again and waking up at 12. Then I got up and got ready for university which is where I am now.
Extremely weird night, I don't know how all this happened or how long I was actually asleep for but I'm not going to complain.
Haha they always write these type of things outside the café's and bars in Mooloolaba! This is from this morning haha.

My future

I mentioned before that Bea and I went to go see our future on her birthday at this physic which was really interesting. I've ALWAYS wanted to do that and finally I got the chance. Yay! I went first and she knew a lot about my personality. And then she started reading the cards. She was very specific so I don't know how much of it is accurate but I sure do believe in some of the things because it does sound like me.

Without me telling her anything about myself she told me that I have done a lot of travelling in my past, and she sensed Africa very strongly. She also told me that I'll continue doing a lot of travelling around the world which is what I want to do. I was told that I'm never going to live in Sweden again  but I will go back to visit several times. I do however, according to her have a future somewhere else in Europe, USA and Africa. She sensed Egypt very strongly.
Then we talked about relationships. According to her, within three months someone travelling Australia will enter my life and we will spend some time together but I won't really let that person in and since he is very ambitious he's going to give me an ultimatum to ask him to stay or leave for his job wherever he comes from and since I have a wall up he later decides to leave. Then in about two years I am going to meet a very handsome surfer apparently thats my soulmate and we are going to travel together a lot. She told me that we are going to have a baby pretty fast (which means I am going to be a mum in just a couple of years! Aaaah!!) and when the kid is old enough to go to school we are going to have trouble deciding where we want to settle down. She said that I am definitely going to have one child, and maybe a second one but it is going to be a pretty big age gap between them. Haha!
Then she talked about my career. She said without me mentioning anything that I am very creative and will be trying out a lot of different careers in that area. She said that I won't stick to just one job, but have lots of different jobs during my life. She told me that I am going to write some books and get them published and that I'll write a memoir that will be pretty popular. But she told me that I am young now and that I should enjoy my time and just party and meet people.

It's creepy how much she knew about me and how well she could read me. When it came to the specific I believe that some of it may happened but not all of it because I've heard from people that everything has come true when they have gotten their future read. I am not going to hold the grudge over this and just live my life and see how much of it might actually come true.

Bea's 20th Birthday!!

Bea turned 20 yesterday!! It was a really good day and we had a lot of fun. I woke up early in the morning and got her presents, a stuffed toy dog and a huge glass + 2 champagne bottles (not fancy champagne of course). Then I made pancakes because she loves that and always wants us to eat them but since I'm not a huge fan we don't eat it too much. Then i woke her up by singing for her. She ate the pancakes and She seemed really touched by my effort :). We then went and got our future read. I Went first and then Bea had her turn. It was really interesting and creepy how much the woman knew about me and my personality. My future also sounded like something i would do but I guess we'll see how much if it is accurate. We later bought three dollar sushi for lunch, went home and got dressed. For dinner I had booked a table at a restaurant that she's always wanted to go to so I took her there and bought her dinner. We then went to Taps, an awesome bar and drank cocktails. We got home and drank the two bottles of champagne and some vodka shots. We decided to go out later but we got to the club too late and they wouldn't let us in but we found an after party at a really big house so we went there and didn't come home until early this morning. We fell asleep instantly and woke up just a few hours ago. Great day and night!!!

Stay cool by the pool

I've spent all day relaxing by the pool with Bea. It was so nice, swimming a bit and working out in the pool for a bit. I got some colour too which is awesome. The sun was really strong today and the weather was amazing. When I left the pool to go up there was a package for me. My parents had sent me candy, flip flops and some other small things. I was so happy! Yay! I ate some candy, got dressed and took the bus to UNI :)

How is university going for me so far?

All of last week I was on Easter holiday which was so nice. I did a lot of things I haven't had time to do before, and I am usually careful with my money, which I still was during the break but I spent more now to make it feel like holiday. I went to Brisbane, walked in a rainforest, ate fancy dinners and more. A perfect first holiday at the Sunshine Coast. Today class started again and I had trouble sleeping last night but I still got up in time, got dressed and did my make up, ate a good breakfast and went to the bus stop. I came ten minutes early and waited for the bus. I waited and I waited and the bus NEVER SHOWED UP?! Thats the first time that has ever happened here. I was so confused and I noticed the people around me who were taking the same bus got mad too. But there wasn't anything I could do and lucky for me, they write everything that is mentioned in class on the school blackboard website, plus they film all the lectures so I've been sitting here now reading and watching but since it is the first day back, a lot of people are still on holiday so the information wasn't too important. I took another bus instead to Sunshine Plaza, bought myself a phone and a birthday gift for Bea which is on Friday.

I've been here for a while now and I've finished half my first semester. How do I think my studies are going so far? Well, pretty good actually. Not a lot of people besides my parents know this but I've always been insecure about school and felt like a failure too many times and deciding to go to university was a big decision for me because of it, but I hope that as time goes by the more confident I'll get. A few weeks ago I had an assignment due that I was not happy with at all. I didn't understand a lot of it and I tried finding help from all recourses I could get my hands on but when it was due I didn't have a choice but to just send it in. Paranoia got to me and I've been worried ever since that I wouldn't pass it but just a couple of minutes ago when I was checking my blackboard I saw that the grades on the assignment had come up. Nervously I clicked on open and waited for it to load and then the grade got up. My cheeks started hurting from smiling so much when I saw my grade. I passed! Ahhhhhh it was like a weight had been lifted. Thank god for that! Hopefully it will go just as smoothly on the next two assessments for this class, Media and Communication Industries.
Communication and Thought, or COR109 as we call it is a mandatory course that everyone at the uni have to take their first semester. It is all about academic writing which is the complete opposite of what I am interested in but I do it and right before the holiday I sent in an assignment and it felt pretty good so I am now hoping that I pass and get a grade I can be happy with.
Creative Industries seems to be a lot of fun and games and I don't actually know if I've learned much but I really enjoy the tutorial on Thursdays afternoon. I've made some friends in that class that I like sitting with and they are super cool and the teacher is super sweet and funny.
Then there is my favourite Creative Writing. At first I felt insecure in this class because I've always kept my writing to myself and I didn't know if it was good enough, because everyone in the class is really passionate and they can all write incredibly. But then during one tutorial when I was "forced" to read something out loud everyone applaud and that made me feel amazing. I'm more confident in this class and I participate more now and I'm really enjoying it. Every class I feel like I'm learning something new. I finished my first half of the short story we had to write and hopefully the people who grade it will like it.

Live band and tequila

Live band and tequila seems like a great idea at the time, but then you wake up in the morning and yeah, it doesn't feel too great. But the night was epic though. Bea and I had decided to have a quiet night in since we had been out the night before but when we were watching a movie in our bedroom we hear heaps of people talking on the balcony. We obviously go check it out and it turns out that our roommate Matt had a bunch of friends over. Bea and I got worried about the noise because we don't want to risk getting any complains but we figured that there were way too many people to keep it down and hopefully Matt could charm the ladies in the reception so we started talking to everyone and they were all so friendly. They finally convinced us to go out with them so they made us drinks and everything. We decided to leave early though for safety reasons and we joined them to Sol bar which is a bar in Maroochydore, the town next to ours. There was a live band that their friend was in and as mentioned there was a lot of tequila involved. I got to know a lot of new people and I danced my legs off in the most ridiculous way. It was a lot of fun. We came home around three which isn't too late but crashed instantly. And we actually got 0 complaints today so yay us! :D

Buderim waterfall

Bea and I decided to do something adventurous today so we got up early, put on our gym shoes, packed chicken sandwiches and headed out the door. We took several busses until we ended up in buderim and eventually we found the rainforest we wanted to enter. It was really cool, and a refreshing walk out in the nature park. The amount of mosquito bites I got, I could've lived without though but other than that it was great. We then arrived to the very famous waterfall. We went swimming in the cool and refreshing water and then ate lunch on the rocks. It was truly beautiful, the waterfall. When we got out of the mountain we arrived at a gorgeous neighbourhood with the most beautiful mansions. We walked around buderim town for a bit as well before taking the bus home. Tonight we are going to our favourite Thai restaurant and then party. A truly great day :)

I miss you.

Since I got here I've been chatting, face timing, skyping and all sorts of things with my friend Anna. She's Swedish too but we are friends from Kenya and I haven't seen her in almost two years but we've always stayed in touch. We always tell each other everything and we help each other out through everything. She has decided to apply to the University of the Sunshine Coast and I am so excited! If she gets in, I am going to cry of happiness. It has really been too long and it is time for us to reunite again. Lax and Torsk together again (Inside joke)!!

This morning I woke up to a snapchat from Rita she saying that she misses me and I miss her sooooooo much. All of our horror-pizza nights where we would sit up all night and just talk about life. She became like my second half in Sweden, we grew so close, kinda insane. I'm loving Australia and all my new friends here, and of course Bea but I wish I could still hang out with my little Russian princess <3

To make the dream come true

After such a long day yesterday (was up for 24 hours) I decided to have a relaxed day today. Relaxed it was but it was lovely! I woke up around 12 o'clock and went straight to the beach and took a swim and tanned. An hour later Julie and Oxana showed up and we just relaxed. I went home around three, got ready and an hour later Bea and I took a long walk to a side of Mooloolaba we had never been too, the harbour. Man it was absolutely beautiful! We then decided to eat at a fish and seafood place that we had heard so much about but it was totally overrated. The food was good, absolutely but not at all to that standard that I was expecting. After that we took another looooong walk around the harbour and we ended up looking at boats. Having a boat has always been a dream of mine and we saw some boats for sale and I figured out that having a boat or a yacht costs as much as I have to pay if I put my rent together. So I am actually really considering saving money until I need to move out of my apartment, buy a boat and live in it. I know people who are reading this now are rolling their eyes thinking it won't ever happen, and maybe it never will but it would be so amazing. I am actually looking up boats and yachts for sale on the internet right now and I am so tempted. I have to wait though until I can afford it but I would love to live that way, a dream come true. Now that I live by the water and everything, I figure I should go all out, am I right?

Brisbane❤️

Happy Easter everyone! I hope everyone has had and are still having a great weekend. I for one am having an awesome weekend. Yesterday I went to Brisbane with julie, oxana, Gina and Martin, some people from the German crew. I woke up at 7am to catch the bus and then we were on our way. It took about two hours to get there but it was worth it. We ate good food, we did a lot of the tourists things, we went shopping. It was great, but a really long day! It was cool though because it's been a while since I was in a city since I live by the ocean now but I really enjoyed it at least :)

More photos will come up another day :)
