Linn and I have been wanting to go to Ikea so bad for several months, but we never came around to it. Every weekend I've just wanted to fly there to eat meatballs and buy candy. However, it is in Logan which is a two hour drive from here. On Friday however, Laityn, Linn and I were over at our friends place, Jeff together with his/our other friend Chriso. He lived in a huge mansion in the middle of nowhere, one of the most beautiful houses I've ever seen. We set up a camp fire, ate dinner, played games and it got so late that we all slept over. The next day, on Saturday, Laityn had to go out on the boat again :( but my friend Cracky came over to Linns, which is where I've been staying for a few days. Cracky joined Linn and I to the plaza, and at night we hung out once again with Jeff and Chriso. We all decided that the next day we would go to Ikea. And we decided to dress up as embarrassingly as we possibly could. However on Sunday, Chriso bailed on us and both Cracky and Jeff were two hours late so we skipped the dressing up part, and took our two hour trip to Ikea. It was so much fun!!! We ate meatballs, tried out all the beds, played in all the little Ikea houses. I bought a bag of chips, candy, and meatballs with me home. It was such an awesome day!!

No motivation
Lately I have had zero motivations at university. I still study, and do my best but to be honest, I've never liked studying and I probably never will. It is hard and I'm not getting any better at it, and after trying it out for my entire life, I know that I am just one of those people who don't get anything out of it. When I first started university I was excited because it was something new and I had chosen a major but I still do not get to choose all my classes, and the way it is graded is just very twisted because not every single person who studies is good at academic writing. So in my opinion there should be more ways than just that to show what ones got. I do however like Australia, I have good friends, a wonderful boyfriend and it is all just fun, just do not know if all the money is worth the university I am not even enjoying...

Moving again
So for a few weeks now I have been thinking of moving again. And I have made my decision now that I will. The place I live at now is really beautiful and everything but way too far away from all the places i hang out at. And I am not that fond of my roommates. So I am looking for a place now, see if there is something i would like more. I know that Laityn wants a place too so we have talked about getting one together which will be fun.
A long one, but a great one
Yesterday was a really long day but also a really good one. I was up at 1.30am studying when my door opens and Laityn comes in unexpectedly. He'd come back from the boat early and he came instantly back to mine to say hi. We sat up for a few hours just talking and then he asked me join him to the boat while he works a little, so at around 4.30, we walked there, stopped for Mcdonald's breakfast on the way. We got there just as the sun got up and I finally got to meet the infamous bossman and all his co-workers. I watched him work for hours and by the end of it I was seriously just so tired. We came home around 9.30 in the morning and I past out at once. I woke up again around 12, and Laityn and I took the bus to Maroochydore where we had lunch at the Scandic Café. Then we walked around the Plaza for a little bit before going back to my place again, where I once again fell asleep. When I woke up again the sun had already gone down and I was really hungry. Laityn was still here and so was his friend Mason, so I went and joined them in the living room. Laityn made me some chicken fajitas which was really good. We hung out for a little bit before Laityn and I went to bed and fell asleep instantly. Good day!!

Curry prawn stew
The other day I went grocery shopping and literally the entire store was like half prize so I went shopping like cray cray. So yesterday I made something I've never made before, curry prawn stew with rice and it was delicious!
Recipe:

•chop one large garlic clove
•chop half a red chilli
•chop two capsicum, preferably in different colours
•fry the onion, garlic, chili and capsicum in oil for a few minutes
•add 2-3 table spoons of sour cream
•add one table spoon of curry powder
•add one tea spoon of mango chutney
•add half a cup of water
•let boil together for one minute before adding the prawns
•mix it all together
•serve with rice
•enjoy the meal

So many movies
This weekend, for the most part, has been pretty awesome. On Friday however, I was really stressed all day and was not feeling the greatest, but during the night I still went to Linn's and we just watched a movie and hung out as usual. Then on Saturday, Linn called me and asked if I wanted to go to the Plaza which I did, so we took the bus in there. Walked around and looked in stores. I didn't buy anything though. We then went to the cinema and watched Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials. IT WAS SO GOOD! Even better than the first one! My lord, it was awesome!! We then came home to my place, and I invited my friends, Timothy and Helene, who have been travelling around the country over. I had not seen them in months so it was good to catch up. Laityn was here too and he invited a bunch of his friends over. My roomies invited their friends and before we knew it we were like 50 people here and we were having a party. It was heaps fun actually! Laityn fell asleep first though haha and when we woke up, there were people passed out all over the place. Linn then called me and asked me to hang out. We went back to the plaza. Hung out, and then once again we went to the movies. But this time we saw Everest! It was so amazing! I highly recommend it. I cried through the entire movie though. It was so sad, so bring tissues. And to my parents, I think you'd like it, so watch it! Ha ha!! I've been at Linn's until now. Recently got home. Laityn left today again :( so now I am once again all alone in this big bed.

Things I miss
I've lived in a fair few countries, some I've liked more than others. Some I've loved, such as Kenya! That place is and forever will be my favourite country in the world and I'd do anything to go back there, even if it would just be for a little while. However Sweden, seeing that is where I am from has a lot to offer that no place has. Beside missing friends and family, there are some things that I miss so much from both these places I still call home <3
Kenya:
ART CAFE! Not only is my favourite restaurant in the entire world but it literally became a second home. And if I could choose to eat one thing right now it would be the Art Pesto with extra halloumi. Diiiiiie! My mouth is getting all watery just thinking about it!

THE NIGHT LIFE!! Not that I haven't had some awesome nights out since I came from Kenya, because I have, both here and in Sweden, but there is no place on this planet that knows how to party the way Kenya does <3
The best chips in the entire world, Olá chips <3 I don't know they put in them but there is nothing on this planet that tastes even half as good as these chips. I introduce them to one person, and they fall in love instantly.
Sweden:
The Swedish candy is like no other. It has all flavours, tastes, shapes, types and I can't get enough of it. I actually think I might be addicted to it and please please please someone over there send me another bag of it!!!! I need it badly ! :O
SAMYANG NOODLES <3 They are the best noodles in the world and they never, ever get old! Love them, I can eat them all day every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No other ramens can even compare.

Movie World
I HAVE TO GO HERE!!!! It looks amazing and it is in Brisbane so it is very close. Whether I go there with Laityn or Linn someday when I have enough money for it, or if I go there with my parents when they come visit, does not matter but I AM GOING THERE!! Movie world! How amazing does that sound? Roller coasters, and movies, literally like my two favourite things in the entire world. Ahhh! Now I just got so excited!! Ha ha!

Friday and Saturday
It's amazing how much I've had done this weekend thinking how much I've studied!! But the weekend has been good. Friday I spent the day with Laityn. Just laying in bed, cuddling before he had to go back out on the boat. I then went to Linn's and we ended up watching two horror movies, my favourite thing to do haha. They were good, Unfriended and White Settlers. I came home pretty late but went back to Linns in the morning when I woke up. There was a storm all day so we stayed in all day. We ate sandwiches from the Coffee Club, then went to my place and baked Swedish cinnamon buns. We then decided to go out so we went back to her place, got ready and started drinking. I hadn't had a drink in over a month so it hit me pretty hard and I was running around the club like a little kid haha but it was awesome! Now I am laying in bed trying to study but it isn't going as well as I'd hoped.

Australian Fathers Day
Two posts in one day! Oh I am getting back on track! Yay! Today here in Australia, it is Fathers Day! Which seems to be a pretty big deal over here cause all my friends have been hanging out with their dads today. Which is really nice I think. I've never really celebrated it or actually ever even had any idea of when it is during the year but since I know it is over here right now, I'd like to give a shout out to the worlds greatest dad, My dad! Miss the pillow fights and the 100 song!! But see you soon father!
The weekend
I just realised now that it is like SEPTEMBER! Already!? How fast is this year passing by??? Crazyyyyyyyyy stuff! Anyway, I'm in the middle of my second semester and time is flying by so fast. I have a lot of studying going on but it is soon over :) It is sunday today which means that it is back to business tomorrow haha. The weekend has gone by quick but it was a good one. On Friday I mostly hung out at home during the day, went for a long walk along the beach too. During the night, the boyfriend, his brother, his brothers girlfriend and I went over to his mothers for dinner. It was really cosy and yummy food. He also has two small brothers, one seven year old and a one year old so we were playing around with them too which was a lot of fun. On Saturday I had to get up early to try a job out at Linn's work and I think it went pretty well actually so now I might be making some extra cash :) yay! We were only there for two hours or so, so after that we went to the beach and got our tan on but it was actually a bit windy. We then went to the Coffee Club and ate omeletts, talked about sad movies and got in on Titanic which we then decided to watch. We took a trip to my place, got my bunny and Swedish candy that Linnea was so nice to send over to me :D Then we went to the store and bought heaps on ice cream and chips, went to Linn's and watched Titanic. Ahhhh I love that movie so much, I don't have words to describe it <3 Then today I met up with Linn again for lunch at subway and we took a walk along the beach before I went home and hung out with Laityn for a bit before he had to leave for another week out at sea ;/ Oh well, I'll see him soon <3 Now I am laying in bed, sneezing my nose off, considering whether or not to take a shower :)
