James Franco is my favorite actor, and I've always thought that he has the most beautiful face. For some reason though, I'd never watched 127 hours because I always focused on his goofy stuff. The movie was great and vert inspirational. I love watching videos of real life heroes and stuff like that so now I've spent the last hour looking up the real story. If you haven't seen or heard of it, the story is that in 2003, 28 year old Aron Ralston goes out alone in the Gran Canyon, and at some point, a rock falls and he puts his hands up to save himself, but instead he causes the rock to smash his arm between the rock and the mountain. He's stuck with his arm like that for 127 hours which is more than 5 days with very little food and water which caused hydration and hallucinations. In the end, he found the strengh to break the bone in his arm, and cut it off to free himself. After his accident he went through months, maybe even years of depression. He had nightmares and the hallucinations didn't stop there. Today he's married and has a son. Honest to God, it is one of the most amazing stories I've ever heard and Aron Ralston has become a huge hero in my eyes.
