The best season of the year

SUMMER!
The leaves are green, the sky is blue, the flowers bloom and the sun shines! What is better than that? I feel that summer time is the only time of the year that I can really go wild and be my true self, when I am the happiest and silliest.

Truth is, that we can only appreciate what is around us when we feel good about ourselves, and in my opinion, summer time is the time when I feel better about myself. I feel more fit and not because I "work out" in the gym kind off way but because I get the training I need from natural ways. I love swimming, I am like a fish when it comes to the ocean and once I am in, good luck getting me out. During the summer time, I think that swimming and being in the water for as long as possible is the best training. Even just biking to the ocean can sometimes give me the exercise I need for the day. Since it is already so hot, going full out with training is unnecessary, I go for walks everyday and I sweat from that. If you go to the gym for example and give your fullest, your oxygen will end sooner and it will be too hard which can also cause worry that you are getting out of shape, which is not true! Taking jogs on the beach, is a great way to exercise. It is more difficult with the sand but it is so good and once you get too hot, luckily enough there is water right next to you.

It is in the summer when most people are off work which means that there are more free spirits out there. It is also this time a year when there are festivals and concerts which excite the people so there are more parties, more people go out and just let loose. Everyone is happy and new music starts playing so if there is any time to party, it is in the summer. During the day, tanning is always good (but not too much because it can cause damage to the pigment). Go swimming or do other outside activities such as skating or tennis. Hang out with friends whenever they are off work and just be chill. Traveling is also a great way to spend this lovely season and see the different places off the world.

When it comes to food in the summer, meals that take a long time to make usually aren't the best because then you have to spend more time indoors making the food. Really hot food such as soup or chili isn't either the best in the summer. The summer is more about beautiful colors and it is also the time where the plants are fully grown so eat the natural things. Salads, whether it is a fruit salad or a veggie salad, it is a perfect summer meal! The BBQ helps out with making the perfect meal as well. Meat, chicken etc can be so delicious on a hot summer day. Fruity smoothies and juices are as summery as it gets, and my own weakness, I can't stay away from a cold fresh coke on a hot day.
