50 Shades of Grey movie

As mentioned, I saw the 50 Shades of Grey movie last night. When I found out a movie was coming I was first really excited because I love the books. Especially the last two ones because they have more of a plot. But when the movie did come out, I read all the reviews and it wasn't positive I must say. All I heard from all over was what a crap movie it was and how everything was wrong so my expectations sank pretty deep and I could only imagine how crap it must've been. But when I told Karin that I was going to see it she told me that all her friends had loved it. But I just decided to go into the movies with an open mind. Obviously you have to watch the movie even if it sucks, it is 50 Shades! So I watched it and this is what I thought...

I thought that the movie had some humor in it that gave the audience a good laugh, and I felt like because of those small jokes the movie actually did shine a little. The sex scenes were hot which is a very important detail in the story. Dakota Johnson, the woman who played Anastasia Steele did an excellent job and she was more or less how I'd imagined her to be when I read the books. However as hot as Jamie Dornan may be, to me, he is no Christian Grey. I think that actor Matt Bomer would have fit the part better because he is exactly how I imagined it, flawless and perfect! So because of that, it ruined the movie a great deal because it did annoy me. Also Kate; Anastasia's best friend and roommate, in the books she is suppose to be breathtakingly attractive and no offence to whoever played Kate in the movie, she wasn't. I think someone like Blake Lively would have fit that part perfectly.
Another thing I didn't like was how they introduced people and then just took them away as if they aren't a big part of the story. Like Taylor the driver, he had like two words in the movie and he is suppose to mean a great deal to Christian. Or José, he is suppose to be Anastasia's best friend and Christian is suppose to feel some jealousy towards him but no, they just made him look gross in the movie and thats not right. Then there is Ray, Anastasia's step dad; she's suppose to be closer to him than she is to her own mother but that did not show at all in the movie. Then Christian's chef wasn't even in the movie which is also odd since she and Anastasia have a lot of long, personal talks over breakfast in the book.
Other than that it was an alright film. I'd give it 4.5 M's out of ten!

MMMMMMMMMM
