As kids, we only hear that we shouldn't do drugs, and we get a stereotypical image of those who are into it. Some people say it is because they just don't know any better. But I don't believe that, I think it is actually the opposite. See, I think the heavy drug abusers know exactly the risks, and how it effects you, more than anyone, since they see it and feel it themselves. Whether it is peer pressure, a way to look good or an escape from pain, there is always a reason someone would start taking them, but if you take it enough times, eventually you'll get stuck, and that is where there is a problem. It isn't the people themselves that are bad or stupid, it is the choices they have made, and the path they are going down. I also believe that buying drugs supports an industry that harms and kills people, who only wanted to find their way. My theory is that taking drugs is a weakness, but being stuck in it is a disease.
Alcohol: God knows I love a cocktail just as much as the next girl. What would a party be without a little booze? What would bring out my brave side at the club if I wasn't at least a little tipsy? And every now and then, I do enjoy a glass of wine for dinner. However, too much of anything is never good. There is nothing sadder than to see an old man laying outside on a bench with a half empty whisky bottle. A girl walks home alone at night and drunken homeless people start singing on the street at the top of their lungs and fall over and over, is nothing scarier. And to be honest I do not think that alcohol is for everyone. I have know people who just can't control their shit when they drinks. Yes, it happens to everyone every now and then, but when it happens every single time it is like guuuuurl, u need to stop drinking for good! It ruins it for everyone else and it is just so annoying.
