Harry Potter, of course I've always admired and loved it, the entire story. It was a part of my childhood and probably the piece of art that our generation will be the most famous for. However, Harry Potter has sort of always been my sisters thing. She loves the books, the movies and I think the only time I've ever seen her cry was when Dumbledore died. Lately though there's been a lot of talk about Harry Potter amongst my friends which is why I decided to re watch the movies. Today I saw the Half Blood Prince so I only have two left. Now that I am older I understand them more and I am really starting to love them, and not only in a "I grew up with them" sort of way. I just want to read the books.
After I watched HP today though, I came across Oprah's interview with JK Rowling from like a year ago, and I was completely charmed by Rowlings way of speaking of her factual past. If I wasn't already inspired by her before, I sure am now. She had such grace in her choice of words and as a young adult going in to creative writing, I would be crazy to not have her as a role model. JK Rowling; the woman who wrote the best selling series of all time, the first author to become a billionaire from her writing. If I one day happen to become an author, I'd consider myself extremely lucky if I manage to become half the writer she is.
