When something like this happens, a country proves that they are one, and they will fight and go through it together. The conflicts and differences the country may have had before, suddenly doesn't matter anymore. I remember sitting on my coach watching it on TV, praying for my beautiful Kenya. I wanted nothing more but to help out, but it was hard doing anything from Sweden. Those few days, I felt more Kenyan than Swedish or any other nationality and I was proud of how the people worked together and gave each other a helping hand.
A documentary by HBO is coming out and just watching the trailer gives me chills. I knew that mall, and I have some amazing memories there. It is hard for me to believe something like that actually happened, so I can only imagine how my friends who still are in Kenya feel.
My deepest sorrow and condolences still go out to anyone who was involved!
To all the people who passed away at that time, may you continue to rest in peace!
